After some hard work over the past few weeks, we’re happy to announce some new features that have been added to the website. We already added a comparison tool, but now there is also a favorite machine page, a profile page, and users can now rate their favorite machines, as well as upvote helpful comments.
To add your machine to favorites, simply click on the heart on the top right of any machine page and it will automatically added. That way it is easy to keep track of your favorite machines, and can navigate to them quickly when you come back to the site. You can find your favorites by clicking on ‘my favorites‘ in the top right of the navigation menu. If you are on mobile, you can find the link in the mobile menu on the top right.
To see a person’s profile page, you can simply click on their name in the comment section, or navigate to machineatlas.com/user/username. There you will see their most recent comments and how many times they have been voted as ‘helpful’. To see your own profile page, click on My Account in the top right (tap on the menu icon on mobile) and then My Profile.
Perhaps the most interesting feature is the possibility to rate machines. If you go to a machine page, just underneath the specifications you will find a ‘Rate this Machine’ button. Click or tap on that and you get to pick between 1 and 5 stars. If you change your mind, you can come back later and change your rating as well. So if you have any experience with a particular machine, consider helping other people out by leaving a rating. Your review will help them make better decisions.
Finally, you can now vote comments as ‘helpful’. Simply click on the Helpful button next to a comment. The most helpful comments will be shown on top, so once again, consider clicking the helpful button to help other people get the best and most useful information first.
