The Scheppach Plana 6.1c jointer planer is the largest of the currently available Plana series. It is the successor of the Plana 7.0. It is unclear why they changed the name, because the machines are still approximately the same size.
A positive change compared to its predecessor is the possibility to add a mortising table. A negative difference however is the inability to change the feed rate. Most machines aimed at (semi-)professionals have this feature, but with the latest version this has been removed.
The tables are made of cast iron. In contrast to the older Plana 7.0, this machine does also come in a 230V version.
