The Metabo UK 290 table saw is a relatively small pull-push type saw, and the smaller brother of the Metabo UK 333. They are nearly identical, except for size and most accessories will fit both machines.
The pull-push system allows you to keep the workpiece stationary, while you pull the saw towards you. This helps making accurate (angled) crosscuts.
The UK 290 and UK 333 are some of the most affordable portable pull-push saws. If you are not willing to pay extra for the high-end Mafell Erika series or the Festool Precisio machines, these are the go-to choices.
The combination of portability with the relatively accurate cuts, but limited capacity make it a machine mostly used for fine finishing at the job location, or for small workshops/garages.
The machine includes legs that can be folded inwards, making it easily transportable. Optional accessories include a
sliding table and table extensions for width and length.
