The SCM Minimax S 45n is an entry-level band saw for hobbyists and small professional workshops. It is a unique machine among SCM’s band saws, and lacks a few features that all their other band saws have. It makes up for this with a lower price. Sold in Germany under the Holzkraft brand.
The Minimax S45n has cast iron wheels. Its aluminium fence seems less solid and sturdy than SCM’s other band saws, like the Minimax S 400p. Other differences include the lack of a tension-relief wheel on the bottom of the top half of the frame, and vulcanized rubber tired instead of the easily removable tongue and groove tires of all other Minimax band saws.
