The JET JPT 410 is the largest jointer planer made by JET. It is the larger brother of the JJP-12 or JET JPT 310. One of its key selling points is the
spiral cutterhead that can be added.
Due to the increased size, this machine is more suitable for small professional workshops and serious enthusiasts who handle wide boards. To make sure it has enough power to plane along the full width, the JPT 410 is available in 400V.
The version with spiral cutters (called JPT 410HH Helical Head) has many separate blades which can be turned 90 degrees when they get dull. One thing that makes this machine special is that the blades are positioned under a slight angle, which is supposed to give better planing results.
The machine has a European-style blade guard, which can be raised/lowered with a knob. The infeed roller is made of metal, but the outfeed roller has a rubber coating, which may degrade in quality over time.
It is more affordable than similar machines like the Minimax FS 41 and the Hammer A3 41. The JPT 410 with spiral cutterhead costs about the same as the other two machines without the spiral cutter upgrades.
