The JET JWP 208 1 is the largest planer model made by JET. The 208-1 is the model with standard blades, while its twin brother, the 208HH has a helical head (spiral cutters) cutterblock. It is also very similar to the smaller JET JWP-15B.
Besides the spiral cutters, there are several other differences between the JWP-208-1 and JWP 208HH. Firstly, the standard model has extension tables with feed rollers, while the Helical Head model has cast iron extension tables. These are also a bit more safe, because there is less chance of getting your hand stuck between the workpiece and rollers.
Another difference is that the 208-1 only has a 2.2 kW (3HP) motor compared to the 3.7 kW (5HP) motor of the 208HH.
The planer has two feed rates, 7.3 and 9.1 m/min (24 and 30 ft/min), which helps picking the right speed depending on grain difficulty and time constraints. On top of the machine are also two rollers, to help bring the workpiece back to the other side for a second pass.
Replacement Blades: You can find a pack of 4 replacement blades on Amazon or on eBay (more expensive).
Reliable planer with proven design. May be slightly underpowered for wide boards.

How do you fill the gear oil
I know where the filler is but cannot find a way to put oil in that tiny hole
