The Kity 635 Jointer Planer is the smaller version of the Kity 636. Whereas the larger one has a jointing and planing width of 260mm, the smaller one has only a capacity of 200mm. This is on the small side and makes it a less desirable machine for the average woodworker. It may be sufficient for model builders though.
One advantage the two machines share is the fact that the jointing table swings upwards and does not need to be detached entirely. This is good because when detaching you risk changing your settings slightly, meaning that if when you put it back on it may not be parallel to the knives and the other side of the table anymore.
Replacement Blades: If your blades are nicked or missing completely, there are still a few places that sell replacement blades. For example, here at Amazon Germany, or here at Amazon UK.
Good first machine for hobbyist. Decent quality but limited jointing width.
