The Lurem RD26 is a jointer planer made by Lurem in France, but based on a design by Metabo. It is the smaller version of the Lurem Former RD30. It shouldn’t be confused with the Lurem RD26F, which is essentially a copy of the Elektra Beckum HC260, while the RD26 is a copy of the Metabo ADH 260.
One of the best things about this machine is the size of the jointer tables. With 1200mm they are very long for a 260mm machine. In fact, they are just as long as on the bigger Lurem RD30, although that machine has a longer fence.
Some other advantages are the integrated stand, making it more stable, and a patented anti-kickback system.
Replacement Blades: You can find some blades for the RD26 from this seller on eBay.
Good machine made by a reliable manufacturer based on a proven design. Rare on the second-hand market.
