The Record Power RD26 was a jointer planer made by Lurem in France. It was based on a design from Metabo’s Magnum series, namely the Metabo ADH 260. It was the smaller version of the Record Power RD30. It was also sold as the Lurem RD26.
Except for the width, the RD26 is just as big as the larger RD30. It has 1200mm jointer tables, which is long for a 260mm jointer planer. The planing table is also long with 500mm. The fence, however, is smaller than that found on the RD30, but it is quite sturdy due to it being secured in two places. This minimizes flex.
Some other features include an integrated stand, as well as a patented anti-kickback system which helps when you’re taking off too much material in one pass.
