The SCM Minimax FS 30c (classic) is the second machine in SCM’s jointer planer combo series. It is aimed at serious hobbyists and small workshops. It is the more sturdy and powerful brother of the Minimax FS 30 Genius. Sold in Germany under the Holzkraft brand.
Compared to the FS 30 Genius, the FS 30 Classic has a slightly longer table, its cutterblock is bigger and has three standard blades instead of two, and has a has a much more powerful motor. It is also heavier and has slightly more planing height capacity. All these upgrades combined make the Classic much more suitable for small workshops than the Genius, which is really only meant for hobbyists.
The cutterblock can be upgraded to the Tersa system, which allows you to change and set new knives very quickly. Alternatively you can opt for SCM’s Xylent spiral cutterblock. The advantages of spiral cutters are the cheaper replacement if you damage one blade, lower sound levels, and longer life due to their four sharp sides.
The SCM Minimax FS 30 Classic can also be fitted with a mortising chuck and a cast iron table.

my FS 30 is not cuttinf flat from side to side
I need help on how to adjust
Spring screw which holds down end of infeed roller spontaneously backed out which caused the gear chain for the rollers to break. Put in new link. Broke again. New chain ordered.
So what is the correct way to install the replacement chain so it won’t break again.?
