The WEN 3959 is a 9″ benchtop bandsaw and one of the most affordable bandsaws currently on the market. The build quality is relatively poor and it doesn’t have many features, and the stock blade is also not very good.
But that is to be expected given the extremely low price, and if you fit it with a decent blade it is actually quite a usable machine. Especially for basic DIY and beginner woodworking this machine will actually work reasonable well.
The WEN 3959 actually comes with a miter gauge included, which is surprising at this price, but it’s nice that it’s there.
For anyone who does woodworking past the very beginner level, this is not the right machine as you’ll quickly get annoyed by its poor quality and limited features. But if you are on a very tight budget or just starting out, it can actually do the job.
Suitable for basic DIY tasks and extremely cheap. If you're doing a little more serious woodworking you will want to upgrade to a better saw.
