The Hammer K4 Perform is the largest panel saw made by Hammer. It is quite different from their other saws, because it uses a base that is similar to the Felder K500, but with Hammer internals.
Because of its larger base, it is able to support the 3200 mm long sliding table, which is not available for the other K3 models. It also has a bigger outrigger table, with a 2600 mm cross-cut fence, which is also not available for the normal K3 models.
Another difference is that the K4 Perform always comes with a
scoring unit, which makes sense, since it is designed mainly for cutting sheet goods. It also has a larger ripping capacity of 1250 mm.
These upgrades do come at a price, since it is nearly 40% more expensive than the K3 Winner Comfort. However, the difference is less if you take into account some upgrades (scoring unit, more powerful motor) for the K3 that are standard on the K4 perform.
- Sliding table based on ball-bearings, not Felder’s linear rail system
- Large ripping width
- Large outrigger table and cross-cut fence
- Scoring unit standard
- Great build quality
