The Kity 613 Band Saw is a solid machine and the successor to the slightly smaller Kity 612. Its main advantage is its size, which is about 20 to 30% larger than most comparable machines.

After Scheppach took over Kity, they continued to make this bandsaw for some years, first as the Scheppach 613, and later as the Scheppach Basa 3.0. So if you’re looking for some replacement parts, you may find them under the Scheppach name as well.

  3. Hi, I have a Kity 613 and have always set it up with the teeth just over the edge of the top wheel as per the manual. But I notice that every youtube video on setting up bandsaw blades says they should be centred on the wheel. I do find that unless the blade is very new, I can’t use a fence but have to guide the piece through via a marked line. Any advice please? Thanks

    • Hi Steve, there doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer to where to position the blade on the wheel. Ultimately the best position is the one that gives you the best cuts. Have you tried positioning the blade in the center of the wheel? Manufacturers tend to advise otherwise so you aren’t able to damage the rubber tires, but it may not be the best cutting position.

      Hope that helps!

  4. Does anybody know where I can get a new power switch for my kity 613

    • Hi Mark, I wasn’t able to find any stores selling a new power switch. Your best bet would probably to get an electrician to replace it with a comparable switch. Maybe this thread on UKWorkshop could be helpful.

  5. Hi I have a kitty 613 bandsaw which was my fathers . The blade keeps coming off all the time.

So i thought it was time to change the blade . Could I have some help on changing it please

    • I dont have a kity band saw but the reason the blade keeps coming off is that that it is not tracking well maybe the top wheel is tipping it too far forward . try adjusting this backwards a little.

  7. Looking for a plug and lead (2pin) for a Kitty Band Saw. I don’t know the model or what voltage, of the one I have seen, is. Would the electrical connection vary between models.
The one I have just seen, the owner wants to keep, at the moment but if I can get a lead, I might get use of it.
