The Metabo ADH 260 Magnum jointer planer is a slightly smaller version of the ADH 1630. It is nearly identical, except for having 260mm jointing capacity instead of 300mm.
The other difference with the ADH 1630 is that the stand is not necessarily integrated, there are also versions with a cabinet (with drawers) base, or no stand at all.
The fence is supported at both front and back, minimizing flex when jointing. Many jointers this size only have their fence secured in one place. The jointer tables are relatively long for a machine this size.
Its larger brother is the ADH 310, which has a capacity for jointing of 310mm and cast-iron tables.
