The Metabo HC 300 jointer planer is a continuation and nearly identical copy of the Metabo ADH 1630. It was initially also marketed as the Elektra Beckum HC 300, but that changed to Metabo once the Elektra Beckum brand was scrapped.
There were two versions: The HC 300 W, the 230 Volt version with 1850 Watt power, and the HC 300 D, the 400 Volt version with 2800 Watt motor, making it significantly more powerful.
It is not 100% clear where this machine was built, but since its twin brother, the ADH 1630, was built in the Lurem factories in France, that probably also goes for this machine. It was also marketed as the Emco MH30, the Lurem Former RD30, and Record Power Former RD30.
This machine also had a patented anti-kickback system.
