Scheppach HMS 2600 ci Jointer Planer

The Scheppach HMS 2600 ci jointer planer was the successor of the HMS 260 ci. Its main advantages are the integrated stand and the much larger planing height, which is unique in the ci jointer planer series.

This machine was introduced later than the rest of the ci series, which means it is slightly different. It lacks the system to disable the feed rollers when jointing, but it benefits from having a much larger planing height capacity. It can take up to 210mm in planing mode, which is more than even the larger HMS and HMC 3200 ci jointer planers.

It is similar to the HMC 2600 ci, but it lacks the combination system, so no attachments are available for this machine. It was succeeded by the Scheppach Plana 3.0.

Another change compared to older machines is the micro safety switch. This mechanism means you cannot start the machine unless you have the dust extraction hood in the right place, making using the machine slightly safer.

One potential downside to this machine is that it was produced in the period Scheppach was moving (parts of) their production to China, so it is unclear to what extent this is a German or a Chinese machine.
