The SCM Minimax ST 3c (classic) is the second model in SCM’s Minimax saw & spindle moulder (shaper) combination series. It is very similar to the Minimax SC 3 Classic, but with the shaper added.
It is a clear step up from the Minimax ST 1 Genius, which is mainly for hobbyists, while the ST 3 Classic is also suitable for small professional workshops. The ST 3 Classic is larger, more powerful, and has many more upgrade options.
The sliding table is 1660 mm long, but can be upgraded to 2660 mm. The parallel (rip) cutting width is 900mm, but can be extended as far as 1270 mm. It comes standard with an outrigger table and eccentric clamp.
There are quite a few upgrade options available. These include a tenoning table and hood for the spindle moulder, digital readout for the fence position, a wheel set, and a shorter fence for quick angled crosscuts.
