The SCM Minimax CU 300c (classic) is the fourth machine in SCM’s five-function combo machine series. It is a step up from the slightly smaller Minimax Lab 300 Plus. Sold in Germany under the Holzkraft brand.
The Minimax CU 300 Classic is a quality machine aimed at small to medium-sized workshops and serious enthusiasts. In terms of price and quality, it is positioned as a direct competitor of the Hammer C3 31.
The sliding table can be upgraded from the standard 1660 to 2660 mm. The jointer and planer blades can be upgrade to either a quick-change Tersa system or SCM’s own Xylent spiral cutterhead.
In addition to most of the upgrades found on the Lab 300 Plus, the CU 300 Classic can also support a dado set and an interchangeable spindle system. Other than that the two machines differ mainly in size (longer jointer tables, cast iron table dimensions).
