The Hammer C3 31 Perform is the largest version of the C3 31 combination machine series. It is the larger version of the C3 31 Comfort and C3 31. The machine combines a panel saw and spindle moulder with a jointer planer on the side, and the possibility to add a mortising table.
Compared to its smaller siblings, on the C3 31 Perform you will get a longer sliding table, longer outrigger table and longer crosscut fence. This allows you to use it like a proper panel saw. However, the rip capacity (only 600mm) is very limited for such a large machine due to the space the jointer tables take up. This makes it not the ideal machine for someone who mostly processes large sheet goods.
This machine can be seen as a Hammer B3 Perform with the A3 31 jointer planer tacked on the side. Just like the B3 Perform it has a longer sliding table and extra support built in, but it lacks the longer body based on the Felder K500, which you will get in the B3 perform and K4 Perform.
The Hammer C3 41 series is similar to the C3 31, but with the jointer-planer capacity of the A3 41 instead of the A3 31 (which also explains the names).
