The Hammer C3 31 Comfort is the middle version of the C3 31 combination machine series. It is the larger version of the standard C3 31. Its larger brother is the C3 31 Perform.

The differences with the standard C3 31 are that the Comfort version has a longer sliding table (2050mm) and outrigger in its standard configuration. This basically upgrades it from a sliding table saw to full-fledged panel saw. The changes between the versions mainly affect the saw, not the other four functions. The Comfort is about 30% more expensive than the basic C3 31.

In contrast to the B3 and K3 series, there is no ‘Winner’ version, so the C3 31 Comfort is the equivalent of the B3 and K3 Winner Comfort. There are several options available, however, that would allow you to build a machine similar to the B3 and K3 Winner. Since all Hammer machines are made specifically for each customer, you can negotiate this with the company.

The addition of the jointer planer does take up extra space compared to the B3 and K3 series, which shows in the limited rip capacity of the saw compared to the saw-only version. Another downside is that the C3 uses the jointer fence for both jointing and sawing/moulding. This fence is inferior to the standard saw fence, as it has more flex and is shorter.
