The SCM Minimax Lab 300p (plus) is the third machine in SCM’s Universal Combination Machine series. It is aimed at hobbyists and small professional workshops. It combines a sliding table saw, spindle moulder / wood shaper, and jointer-planer in one machine. Additionally a mortising table can be fitted as well. Sold in Germany under the Holzkraft brand.
It is built on a similar base as the Minimax SC 2 Classic sliding table saw, and the Minimax ST 3 Classic Saw/Spindle combination. It is a step higher in quality than the Minimax C 26 Genius and C 30 Genius. Its larger brother is the Minimax CU 300 Classic.
There are many upgrades available for all functions of the machine. Some of the most important are the upgrades to the cutterblock of the jointer planer. This can be upgraded to Tersa, or SCM’s own Xylent spiral cutterblock, for longer lasting and quieter blades.
Another upgrade that seems very useful is the additional fence for the jointer-planer, which means you won’t have to spend time resetting the fence every time you switch between functions.

My 15 year old Lab300 has suddenly stopped. No obvious cause, just won’t switch on. Any diagnostic suggestions, before I start taking things apart?
Hi Jacob, I don’t have experience with this machine myself, so I’m not sure. But if it doesn’t switch on at all, it’s probably an electrical or motor issue.
My question is there a over heat cut of switch on the lab 300 plus I was using the table saw for about a hour ripping timber and it just stopped I have checked all the micro switches and emergency stops I have plugged it out and back in and when doing so it clicks as usual but still no power to eader the saw /planer or the spindal moters
